As I was praying for our nation, okay, I was fretting and trying to pray, I opened my Jesus Today devotional to this page. In that particular book by Sarah Young, the pages are not dated. This was a random page that I opened to. But, it wasn’t random to God. This us what He led me to knowing exactly what I needed in the moment. It blessed me and I thought it would bring reassurance to you as well.
“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the End, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty. This planet you inhabit is in such a mess that sometimes you feel overwhelmed. Just watching the news can make you anxious. World events and economies seem to be spinning out of control more and more. This is why it’s so very important to focus on Me and consider who I am: the Beginning and the End. I—the Creator of this planet—transcend time. I know the end of this world’s story just as well as I know the beginning.
“I not only know how everything will turn out, but I am absolutely Sovereign. I am the Almighty; nothing is beyond My control. The more helpless you feel as you face the challenges in your life, the more comforting it is to trust that I am all-powerful. Remember that I am also compassionate. I am the Lord who comforts His people and will have compassion on His afflicted ones. You can transcend your troubles because I am both powerful and compassionate. So you have a good reason to rejoice; and sometimes you may even burst into song.
Isaiah 49:13, “Shout for joy. O heavens; rejoice, O earth; burst into song, O mountains! For the Lord comforts hos people and will have compassion on his afflicted ones.”

COMMUNICATION DURING QUARANTINE CLASSES
Every Tuesday in November from 1-2pm
(During the lunch hour if you are working.) I will be teaching a Zoom class for marriages. The stats are telling us that married couples are struggling during this challenging time. And after 40 years in the counselor's chair, I'd like to offer some time-tested tools.
The class will be affordable, only $30 per couple. (Find any help for that cost.) And the class will be limited to no more than 5 couples so that everyone can get focused attention.
