The E in Power is for Embrace time in His presence---everyday.

Psalm 46:10 tells us to, “Be still and know that I am God.

One version reads, “Cease striving and know I am God.” In other words, stop striving long enough to know-recognize and understand—who I am and all I have for you.

Spending time with God daily keeps us current and close, and guards our hearts against Satan’s discouragement. Spend as much time as you can soaking up peace in His presence. Plan it, carve out time for it, invest in it, look forward to it. See it as your lifeline, because it is.

Here’s what Sarah young says in her book, Jesus Calling, “You tend to feel guilty about pushing back the boundaries of your life to make space for time alone with me...The ways of the world have warped your conscience, which punishes you for doing the very thing that pleases me most: seeking my face. Listen to me above the clamor of voices trying to distract you.”

In Zephaniah 3:17 we read:

“The Lord your God in your midst,
The Mighty One, will save;
He will rejoice over you with gladness,
He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing.” (NKJV)

Now, sit quietly until you hear his voice telling you how proud He is of you... how He rejoices over you with gladness. Let Him quiet you with His love. Rest in His arms as you hear Him rejoicing over you with singing. Sit in His presence until you feel His power filling your tank giving you what you need to manage the day He has planned for you.

As we quiet our hearts in His presence, He gives the truth that sets us free. I’ve heard him say, “You need to forgive that person.” Or, “It’s not about controlling or correcting those around you. You need to practice patience and grace.” He has to tell me that a lot! He lets me know, “My kingdom is not about earning and disserving. It’s about believing and receiving.

As you soak up peace in his presence as you allow Him to empower you, you can move into your day with the confidence knowing that Deuteronomy 33:25 (NKJV))

as your days, so shall your strength be. For the R in power, check out the latest post on https://www.facebook.com/answersfrommomanddad
