12 Ways to Turn Your Pain into Praise

Sapphires from Psalms

Better Than Jewels

I just left some amazing ladies from Fremont and I am heading for another ladies’ retreat in the Cascade Mountains of Idaho next weekend. I LOVE WOMEN’S RETREATS! We women spend so much time worrying over and taking care of everyone else, but for at least one weekend a year, we deserve to take time off kitchen duty, rest and play, connect with other ladies, eat chocolate and fill our tanks with instruction and inspiration.

If you don’t have a ladies’ group at your church, I would love to help you with some ideas about how to start one.  Maybe you are the catalyst God wants to use to make that happen.

Remember, we retreat so that we can advance!

Thanks for sharing your story and all the nuggets you gave us this weekend. So greatful to you. It helped realease the guilt and worry I was carrying. Losing my dad last year was the hardest thing I have had to go through yet I have been more in tune to God. Losing my dad to suicide has made me cherish every moment I have with my sick grandma. The feeling of her warm soft lips on mine as I kiss her good bye and talking about past memories we have had together. I have peace about her going when he decides to take her. Again thanks for sharing and being so full of joy. You are so easy to listen to!

Thanks for the wonderful words of wisdom and great humor you had at Redwood Christian Park last weekend. I was truly blessed and really encouraged when you gave me the advice that I needed to hear about speaking to a hurting friend. GOD BLESS YOU..........

Thanks for posting the "Mama, Mama" poem. It makes me cry everytime I read it, but then I don't feel like I am the only person with a mom like that. I appreciate how you share your story. Linda. I can relate so much to what you went through.

I was at a retreat you did a few years ago and I still remember not to "rent space in my head" to resentment. I have applied that to other negative things as well! Thanks.

I agree, Linda. I live for retreat each year. It's a chance to get to know ladies at church that through the week I barely get to say, Hi and Bye to. And I always walk away with something helpful!
